Project Details

What information do you need to quote my project?

The most helpful details are your script, word count, project type, usage, deadline, tone direction, and whether you need a live-directed session.

Can I send a script before booking?

Yes, please do. Seeing the script ahead of time helps me give you an accurate quote and confirm the best approach for your project.

What types of voiceover do you record?

Commercials, eLearning, corporate narration, explainer videos, IVR and phone systems, animation, and video games.

Do I need a final script before requesting a quote?

A final script helps, but it isn't required. A draft, word count, or project summary is plenty to get started. The quote firms up once the script, usage, and deadline do.

Rates & Usage

How do voiceover rates work?

Rates depend on the project type, script length, usage, audience size, timeline, and whether a live-directed session is needed. If you're not sure what usage applies, I can help you sort it out. It's less complicated than it sounds.

Please check out the Global Voice Acting Academy Rate Guide for a general idea.

What does usage mean?

Usage is where, how, and for how long the recording will be used. Internal training, paid ads, organic social, web video, broadcast, apps, and phone systems are all different types of usage, and they're quoted differently.

Do you offer paid ad, broadcast, or commercial usage?

Yes. I can quote usage for online ads, paid social campaigns, broadcast, web video, streaming audio, and other commercial placements.

Can you help me figure out what usage I need?

Happy to! We'll look at where the voiceover will be heard, how long it will run, and whether it's paid, public-facing, internal, broadcast, or organic content.

Turnaround & Revisions

How fast can you deliver?

It depends on length and complexity, but many shorter projects can be completed within 12 to 24 hours once booked. I'll confirm the timeline before we start so there are no surprises.

What counts as a revision?

A revision usually means a performance adjustment, like tone, pacing, pronunciation, or emphasis. Script changes after recording may carry an additional fee.

What if my script changes after recording?

It happens more often than you'd think. I can record a pickup or a revised version, and I'll let you know upfront if there's an added cost.

Do you offer rush delivery?

Sometimes, depending on my schedule and the script length. If your deadline is tight, mention it in your request and I'll tell you what's realistic.

Audio Delivery

What file formats do you deliver?

WAV and MP3 are the most common, but let me know what your project needs.

Is the audio edited and ready to use?

Yes. You'll receive clean, edited audio unless your team requests raw files for post-production.

Can you split files?

Yes. For eLearning, IVR, and other projects with multiple lines or prompts, I can split files according to your naming instructions.

Can you deliver raw audio if my team prefers to edit it?

Of course. Just let me know your preferred format and delivery specs before recording begins.

Live-Directed Sessions

Do you offer live-directed sessions?

Yes. You or your team can give direction in real time while I record.

What platforms do you use?

Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Source-Connect.

Do live sessions cost extra?

Sometimes they're included, sometimes quoted separately. It depends on the project scope, session length, and usage.

Can I give direction during the session?

Yes. You guide tone, pacing, emphasis, and alternate takes while I record.
